MAINTENANCE TIPS
- Avoid flames, sparks and smoking near the battery
- To obtain optimum service life out of the battery, avoid deep discharges
- Battery to get sufficient recharging after every discharge, minimum 20% extra input is required
- Use insulated tools white working on battery
- Use protective goggles and hand gloves when working on a battery
- Float / Trickle charging voltage should be between 13.2 volts to 13.5 volts
- Electrolyte level to be maintained between Minimum and Maximum markings
- Ensure equal bank voltages during Series Parallel Connection
- To avoid voltage drop across inter battery connection, clean surface area and apply Vaseline / Petroleum jelly to terminals and connectors
- Top up cells with Distilled or Demineralized Water only
- Ensure proper verification for system and battery for its better performance
- Never add acid
- Always keep the top surface of battery clean and dry to avoid surface current leakage
- Always maintain specific gravity in each cell between 1.230 to 1.250 at 27°C
